I know, believe me, I know how much of a relief it is at the time. But I also know how guilty it makes you feel afterward. Try to keep that in mind when you’re poised with the knife above your skin.
For now, to heal the wounds, try using this stuff called “Bag Balm” found at your local Wal-Mart in the pharmacy section (or with the hand lotions). Put a gob of that on the wounds and cover with a band-aid for a day or two (or three). That should help heal the wounds if they’re big.
I have the same problem. I think talking to some one who understands, like a counsilor might help. But i would never do that. I just don’t feel my school guidance counsilor would understand. She is the happiest person you’d ever meet. It would just make me more depressed.
Have you tried talking to some one else who self harms? I think that would help. You could compare your reasons for doing it, and maybe give advice on how to fix it. And maybe instead of letting your anger out on yourself, you could talk to them about what ever is going on, and that might help.
Also, what really helps is having some one to remind you that you have lots of people who care about you and respect you and you are really gonig to do great things in life.
You are beautiful/handsom, intelligant, gifted, and there are a lot of people who are about you, I know it, but do you? Some times it might seem like your not, but you are and you do. Trust me.

Talk to your school councilor.
Easy: find another outlet.
